Step 3: Save the site as Template (stp file)
Steps:
- Navigate to the project workspace site you want for the template source
- At upper right of the site, click on Site Actions menu, click Site Settings
- On the Site Settings page, click Save site as a template under Look and Feel section
- On the Save Site as Template page, type a file name, title, and description for the template, and then choose whether to include content and click OK
- On the Operation Completed Successfully page, click Site template gallery
