Reason 8: Inability to assign a task to a team rather than to multiple resources

Scenario: PM want to assign the task to Software Development team. So based on availability, team member can self-assign the task. (or) Team lead can re-assign the task to next available team member

Project Server 2003:

In Project Server 2003, PM needs to know the actual name of the resource that is going to perform the task.

Project Server 2007:

Project Server 2007 provides a Team Resource feature, enabling the PM to assign the task to a group of people. System will send the task assignments to every resource on the team. Each team member can then individually update their own progress on the tasks from PWA.
